Michelle! I’m also loving matcha right now. Definitely give a matcha lemonade a try. Just use lemonade instead of the milk. I made a strawberry syrup with our strawberries and added that. What feed do you give your chickens or recommend? I raise mine like yours and I currently feed them non gmo I purchase from the Amish. I would like to feed them organic, but haven’t found any that’s not crazy expensive! Ty! I love your channel and live in Hillsboro oh!

Every time I watch one of your videos I immediately have the urge to search for land. I know you don’t take what you have for granted but I just wanted to encourage you that even on hard hard days your little slice of land truly is paradise. With five kids in an apartment, we are so anxious to get them “out on pasture.” But we know it’s all in the Lord’s timing.

In Australia we dry our washing on a clothesline... there is nothing better than hopping into a freshly made bed that smell like sunshine. I am surprised that homesteaders still usually use dryers... sunshine is free! 😁

Love your channel, it is a lot of hard work but the hard work mostly pays off, my grandparents and great grandparents homestead and the lived very long lives. I guess the hard work kept them living and going, I remember going to my grandparents and they had goats, chickens, ducks, and peacocks I loved their homestead. Yours brings back great memories, I drank goats milk and it was a rich milk but tasted good, I do a bit of homesteading like started a small garden homeschooling my granddaughter whom lives with us and freedom yes love the freedom. We don’t have much land but our big back yard is enough for our gardening and play time, keep your you loving, sweet videos coming I look forward to watching them and learning btw I’m 67 and still learning new things. Just gotta say, I really like that you don't show your kids' faces in your videos. Too many youtubers don't give their kids that basic choice and privacy. And also, I'm glad to hear that you didn't do the cry it out part of 'sleep training', though the term still makes me a little nervous. You seem like you're pretty gentle people, so I'm hopeful that you're using it in a completely different manner than it's usually meant.

Thanks for sharing with us all you do, i have always fed by dogs, chicken livers or chicken hearts,, cooked with brown organic rice, & vegetables. I make a big pot which I keep in the fridge every week. My dogs know when I am peeling carrots & love crunching on raw carrots next to me, it also helps clean their teeth. I add carrots, greens & beans out of the garden to the chicken livers & rice & feed them this homemade food & veggies from out of the garden. My dogs are happy & healthy.

To answer your question, vegans might want a whole wheat tortilla with vegetable shortening instead of lard, though as a whole food plant based vegan, neither really appeals to me so we mostly just make our own skipping the 'fat' element entirely , yes they are less soft and go stale much faster.....I do think food should be better labeled, most people buying 'health food' (dripping sarcasm here) don't expect either shortening or lard.....

I always wondered why people put kids to bed really early, then complained and was grumpy when they got up too early. I agree with you it so much sense😂. to have your kids get up at the appropriate time for your lifestyle. Sometimes, I think common sense has flown out the window.
